A 10-member committee formed by the ministry of environment and forests (MoEF), under the directives of the Bombay high court, began its three-day inspection visit to the Lavasa hill city project on Wednesday.

The committee, headed by ex-bureaucrat Naresh Dayal, will assess the environment impact of the project and submit a report to the MoEF by January 10.
